Sinkhole opens in busy road, quick-thinking cop averts tragedy, China

The observational skills and quick-wits of a policeman in the Chinese city of Hangzhou have potentially saved dozens of lives. He put cones out immediately after spotting a crack on the ground at a busy crossroads. A matter of minutes afterwards, CCTV footage covering the road in the eastern Zhejiang Province appears to show the ground caving in to reveal a two-metre-deep sinkhole.
